Seriously, Scout is my all time favorite character ever crafted. Harper Lee created my literary hero. Every time I read this book I fall in love with her some more. She's overly feisty, but she loves from her gut. Her naivete gets her into some sticky situations, but her ability to quickly adapt helps her survive them. She is unintentionally non-judgmental because she is oblivious to prejudice, and when she finds out it exists, she is appalled. She's consistently open minded when it comes to learning from life's experiences. She stands up for what is right before she thinks about the opposition. She's too curious to be afraid. She steps over the line, but gracefully retreats if necessary. I really wish I could be as awesome as Scout!
