Denver, the City I Love

For months it has been my intention to grab my camera and walk over to Diamond Hill to get some good photos of Denver. I live on Diamond Hill (kind of), which is fortunate for me because it's one of my favorite views of Downtown Denver.

Early last week, my amazing friend Holly agreed to make the 4 block trek to my house at 4:25 in the morning. Sleepily, we packed up my camera gear and wandered to our lookout point. We spent the whole sunrise catching up on lost time and I pressed the shutter every minute or so.

Here's what I got.



I love this picture because not only is the skyline beautiful, but the darkness makes me think about what's lurking in the shadows. We all know that the secrets hiding on the streets and in the shadows are what makes Denver the amazing city that it is!
